Advice No. 2 - Be Professional

If you want to succeed in SL business, show people what you can do - whether it be building things, using photoshop as a photographer or making clothes.

An easy way to do this is to post pictures of your previous work to a flickr account. Then you can easily show new customers your portfolio by posting the url in a chat window.

Advice No. 1 - Get a Good Name

When you join Second Life, spend some time to think of a good name. Don't put numbers in your name because you will probably soon want to get rid of them. Try to find a name that people will remember and that can be easily shortened to make it easier for friends to type.
